Amended Amotekun Bill Enacted by ODHA
I presented the report of the committee on amendment of the Ondo State Security Network Code name “AMOTEKUN” as the chairman of the security committee in the Ondo State House of Assembly.
Remember that February 2020.
Under the direction of our Dear Speaker Rt Hon (Propht) Bamidele Oleyeloogun, who presided over the Session, the bill titled “A Law To Establish The Ondo State Security Network Agency and Amotekun Corps” passed through the first and second readings and was subsequently passed into law.
I presented the amended bill to the house for consideration because the tenacity and resolve of our beloved governor, His Excellency Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, to lower crime rates, protect citizens, and strengthen the operation of the Amotekun corps, made it possible.
The Principal Laws were amended in about six sections.
To the Glory of God and the advantage of the people of Ondo State, the Ondo State House of Assembly today passed this amended bill into law.
