Suspected Terrorists on Sunday invaded Hayin Kanwa village, Yakawada ward in Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State killing 15 people in the process.

Alhaji Mohammed Buwala, a resident in the community was quoted as saying that those killed were buried in the early hours of Monday.

“Killings and kidnapping in Giwa are getting out of hand, as people are being killed and kidnapped daily,” Bwala was quoted to have said.

“The situation is terrible because 15 more people were killed at Hayin Kanwa just yesterday (Sunday) night by bandits.

“Since Thursday, these bandits have been attacking villages killing people,” he added.

Giwa Local Government Chairman, Abubakar Shehu and Kaduna Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige could not be reached as at the time of filing this report.

The latest attack is coming a few days after about 50 persons were killed and several others kidnapped in Giwa Local Government Area of the state.

Also, some unidentified gunmen on Saturday attacked the Kaduna Airport, killing an official of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), identified as Shehu Na’Allah, at the runway.

The manager of the airport, Amina Salami,  said the bandits invaded the airport through the perimeter fence from a nearby forest at about 1 p.m.

She stated that the deceased security guard, Mr Na’Allah, was patrolling the runway when he was shot by the assailants.

Mrs Salami said soldiers at the airport, however, responded immediately and repelled the attack.
