The Islamic Holy Month of Ramadan will commence on Saturday, April 2, 2022 in Nigeria.

President General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) and the Sultan of Sokoto Muhammad Abubakar Sa’ad III made this known in a broadcast on Friday.

Muslims worldwide are expected to use the Month of Ramadan for prayers, fasting and community service.

Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam.
