The Federal Government has denied reports that President Bola Tinubu renamed the Murtala Muhammed Expressway in Abuja after Nobel Laureate, Wole Soyinka.
The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, who clarified in a statement said the Expressway still maintains its name contrary to widespread reports.
Idris said the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, only suggested to the president for a particular road to be named after Prof Soyinka.
The Minister, while explaining that only the Arterial Road N20 was named after Soyinka, urged all citizens to disregard any misinformation regarding the renaming of the Murtala Mohammed Expressway.
