Adams Oshiomhole, a former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared his intention to run for the Edo North Senatorial seat in 2023.

Nigeria News House gathered that the former Edo governor made this known during his 70th birthday party at Iyamoh in Edo State on Monday.

“Many people have been asking me if I will run for the Senate, but I pleaded with them to wait until our national convention when I would have made up my mind.

“Now that the APC convention is over and we now have a new National Working Committee, I have decided to contest for the Senate come 2023,” Mr Oshiomhole said.

Oshiomhole, a former labour leader served as two-term governor of Edo state between 2008 to 2016. He also chaired the APC between 2018 to 2020.
