The Ekiti State governor, Biodun Oyebanji, says state governors, under the Nigerian Governors Forum, do not oppose the approval of a living wage for Nigerian workers.

Speaking at the 7th Quadrennial Delegates Conference of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria in Ado-Ekiti, Governor Oyebanji maintained that the NGF’s stance highlighted fiscal federalism to enable states meet financial obligations independently.
The governor urged civil servants in the state to explore agriculture, noting that his administration had allocated over 2,000 hectares of land free of charge to interested residents.
