In a shocking turn of events, the Ogun State Police command has apprehended two kidnappers responsible for the abduction and murder of multiple victims in Ijebu Igbo, Ijebu North local government area.
The suspects, Chukwuma Bartholomew and Igwe Monday, were arrested on June 28, 2024, after a thorough technical investigation. They confessed to the crimes and led the authorities to the shallow graves of their victims in the Ijebu-Igbo forest.
The victims, 71-year-old Adekunle Ifelaja and 34-year-old Ogunyemi Femi, were kidnapped and killed despite their families paying the ransom. The police were able to exhume the corpses and bring the perpetrators to justice.
