Serbia plans to build a museum in Belgrade dedicated to tennis legend Novak Djokovic following his dramatic gold medal victory at the Paris Olympics, announced President Aleksandar Vucic on Tuesday.

Djokovic, a national icon with 24 Grand Slam titles, recently added an Olympic gold to his impressive list of achievements by defeating Carlos Alcaraz in the finals. His victory was celebrated across Serbia, with citizens gathering in public squares, waving flags, and singing patriotic songs.

President Vucic emphasized that the museum would not only honor Djokovic’s contributions to tennis but also serve as a tourist attraction. “Palma de Mallorca has a museum dedicated to Rafael Nadal. We will strive to showcase what Djokovic has done for our country in accordance with his merits and at the same time attract tourists,” Vucic stated.

The museum is expected to be completed before Belgrade hosts the World Expo in 2027. Djokovic, who has run a tennis academy in Belgrade and frequently engages with the local community, continues to be a significant figure in Serbian sports and culture.

This initiative aims to cement his legacy and inspire future generations, celebrating a career that includes winning all four Grand Slam tournaments and an Olympic singles gold, joining the ranks of legends like Andre Agassi, Rafael Nadal, Steffi Graf, and Serena Williams.Serbia to Honor Novak Djokovic with Dedicated Museum Following Olympic Triumph
