A Nigerian court has cleared the way for a lawsuit seeking an investigation into alleged ties between Defence Minister Bello Matawalle and banditry in Zamfara State.
The suit, filed by human rights activist Abubakar Dahiru, targets President Bola Tinubu, the Attorney General, and the Inspector General of Police.
Dahiru alleges Matawalle’s involvement in banditry and kidnapping, citing public accusations and online publications.
The court has yet to schedule a hearing date.
