Unknown gunmen stormed a pharmacy in Agyaragu, Obi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, on Thursday night, shooting a young woman and abducting the pharmacy owner along with two of his employees.

The attack on Emmy Gold Pharmacy Nigeria Limited occurred at about 8:44 p.m. and lasted for nearly an hour without security intervention, according to eyewitnesses.

“The gunmen were well armed. Their shooting scared everybody. They forced the owner of the pharmacy and two of his boys into the bush,” a witness said.

Efforts by local youths to intervene were met with heavy gunfire, forcing them to retreat.

The incident has heightened fear in Agyaragu, where kidnappings have become increasingly frequent. Residents, including Jonah Yakubu, are calling for urgent government action to bolster security in the area.

Attempts to reach the Nasarawa State Police Command for confirmation were unsuccessful.
