Changpeng Zhao (CZ), former CEO of Binance, has predicted that only a small percentage of crypto participants will succeed long-term.
Responding to a post on X by crypto influencer EmperorBTC on March 17, CZ said, “The bar to succeed in crypto is very low,” but claimed that 80% of investors are “tourists” influenced by news, over 10% follow “foolish influencers,” and only 5% truly understand the market.
“Even among this 5%, most won’t outperform Bitcoin,” CZ noted. “Holding BTC surpasses 99% of crypto participants and other asset types by doing practically nothing.”
