A bright 16-year-old student from Bayelsa State, Kalizibe Tamadu, is asking for help to achieve his dream of becoming a medical doctor after scoring an outstanding 320 in the 2025 UTME.

Kalizibe, who comes from Kpansia in Yenagoa, wants to study Medicine and Surgery at the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT). But despite his excellent result, he fears his family won’t be able to afford the cost of his education.

Speaking emotionally, Kalizibe explained that his father is already struggling to support his older siblings in school. “I’ve always dreamed of becoming a doctor and helping my community,” he said. “But now I’m scared that my dream might slip away. My dad is doing all he can, but it’s too much.”

He is appealing to Governor Douye Diri, well-meaning Nigerians, NGOs, and companies to support him so he can continue his education. “I’ve worked so hard to reach this point. I just need someone to believe in me and give me a chance,” he added.

Kalizibe’s story has touched many people, especially in his community. Supporters say he is a reminder of how many talented young Nigerians struggle not because of ability, but because of poverty — and how just one opportunity could change a life for the better.
