The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed as unfounded allegations by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) that the ruling party and President Bola Tinubu are attempting to silence opposition voices ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Reacting in a statement on Thursday, APC spokesperson, Seye Oladejo, said the ADC’s accusations amounted to “a mosquito accusing a lion of roaring too loudly,” describing the claims as an excuse for the opposition’s “imminent defeat.”

Oladejo said the APC under Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda remains focused on delivering results rather than responding to “professional complainers.”

“The only thing being silenced in Nigeria today is failure, confusion, and the politics of bitterness that the opposition has perfected as an art form,” he said.
“The ADC should stop hallucinating about persecution and start learning basic political arithmetic.”

He further stated that President Tinubu and the APC are “too busy reshaping Nigeria’s destiny” to be distracted by what he termed “political spectators who only appear during election season to make noise and vanish after the count.”

The spokesman accused the ADC of lacking grassroots presence, internal cohesion, and public relevance.

“It is laughable that a party which exists only on newspaper pages and WhatsApp groups claims to be under threat,” he said.
“You don’t lose elections because your opponents silenced you — you lose because the people don’t believe in you.”

Oladejo maintained that the APC remained focused on building a nation of unity, opportunity, and prosperity under President Tinubu’s leadership.

“We will not be distracted by political comedians seeking attention through cheap drama.
As for the ADC — stop crying wolf; the nation has moved on,” he added.
