Ex-Minister Ochekpe Bags Six Years In Prison For Money Laundering

A Federal High Court sitting in Jos, Plateau State on Tuesday sentenced a former Minister of Water Resources Sarah Ochekpe and two others, Evan Leo Sunday Jitong and Raymond Dabo to six years imprisonment each on an amended three-count charge bordering on conspiracy and money laundering.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (#EFCC ) had dragged them to court for allegedly receiving the sum of N450million from Former Minister of Petroleum, Alison Maduekwe to influence the outcome of the 2015 elections.
