A funeral mass was held days after the tragic invasion and massacre of Christian worshippers at St Francis Catholic Church in Owo.
Governor Rotimi Akeredolu and other dignitaries attended the victims’ funeral mass at the Mydas Resort and Hotel in Owo.
As released images of the victims surfaced online, it was learned that 40 people would be laid to rest.
Owo, Ondo – The funeral mass for the 40 churchgoers killed by terrorists at St Francis Catholic Church in Owo has begun, the governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, and other dignitaries attended the funeral mass, which is currently taking place at the Mydas Resort and Hotel in Owo.
The service received 21 coffins, with the remaining 19 still missing at the time of this report.
Six children and twenty women were reportedly transported in separate coffins in a hearse.
Remember that on Sunday, June 5, some suspected terrorists with heavy weapons stormed the St Francis Catholic Church, killing 40 people and injuring over 80 others.
