Jesse Marsch, the coach of Leeds United, has explained why his team defeated Chelsea 3-0 in Sunday’s Premier League match.

Marsch stood by as Leeds defeated Chelsea at Elland Road thanks to three goals from Brenden Aaronson, Rodrigo Moreno, and Jack Harrison.

Marsch, on the other hand, believes Leeds won against Chelsea because his players were ‘aggressive’ against Thomas Tuchel’s team.

Speaking after the game, Marsch told NBC Sports: “That’s not the way we are ever gonna play [sitting back], but you have to calculate how you’re going to play against these opponents.

“I think that’s what is so pleasing, we were clear on the pitch and aggressive.”

Leeds United’s next Premier League tie is against Barnsley in the EFL Cup second round on Wednesday.
