Major General Muhammadu Buhari (ret.), the President,will attend Mahamat Idriss Itno’s investiture as President of the Transitional Team in the Republic of Chad for two years today.
Garba Shehu, the President’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, stated this in a statement titled ‘President Buhari to attend the investiture of Mahamat Idriss Deby as transition President in Chad.
The statement in part read, “The ceremony, which will hold at the capital, N’Djamena, will further accentuate negotiations on peaceful and harmonious return to the democratic process in the country, following the passing of the former President, Idriss Itno in April 2021.”
