Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 presidential election, has emerged victorious in Borno State. The election was held on Saturday, and the results were announced today at the presidential election collation center in Sir Kashim Ibrahim College of Education, Maiduguri.

According to the Collation Officer, Professor Jude Rabo, who is also the Vice Chancellor of Federal University Wukari, Tinubu secured 252,282 votes, defeating his closest rival, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who got 190,921 votes. Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) came in third with 7,205 votes.

Tinubu’s victory came as no surprise as he won in 23 local government areas, while Atiku only won in four local government areas of the state. The results reflect the continued popularity of the APC in Borno State.
