President Muhammadu Buhari has reappointed seven board members for the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
The members were sworn in at a ceremony held in the council chamber of the State House in Abuja on Wednesday morning. The event took place just before the start of the Federal Executive Council meeting for the week.
The board members include Justice Adamu Bello (retd.) from Katsina State, Hannatu Mohammed from Jigawa State, Olubukola Balogun from Lagos State, Obiora Igwedibia from Anambra State, Dr. Abdullahi Saidu from Niger State, Yahaya Dauda from Nasarawa State, and Grace Chinda from Rivers State.
This is the second council meeting since the presidential election held on February 25, where Bola Tinubu, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was declared the winner.
The reappointed members were first inaugurated in 2019, and their renewed four-year tenure is expected to end in March 2027.
