A massive fire has erupted at the Christ MercyLand and Deliverance Ministry, popularly known as Mercy City, in Effurun, Delta State.
Our correspondent has obtained shocking footage showing a building within the church premises engulfed in flames.
The cause of the fire outbreak is yet to be ascertained, and the church’s entrance gate was found to be locked at the time of our report. Unfortunately, no fire department officials were on the scene to contain the raging inferno.
In a related development, the government of Kano State has lifted the dusk-to-dawn curfew imposed in the state following the recent governorship and state assembly elections’ announcement.
The curfew was imposed to prevent a breakdown of law and order after tensions erupted among citizens.
