President Muhammadu Buhari has issued an executive order for the immediate removal of Professor Mohammed Sani Haruna, the Executive Vice Chairman (EVC) of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI).
In a statement released by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, it was revealed that the President had previously granted an extension of office to Prof. Haruna until 2025, but this has now been rescinded due to the fact that the EVC had already served two tenures of five years each.
As a result, the next most senior officer in the organization has been instructed to take over the vacated office.
The President acknowledged Prof. Haruna’s contributions to the growth of the engineering infrastructure sub-sector of the economy and wished him well in his future endeavors.
