Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi has denied reports of his arrest at Heathrow Airport in London.
In a recent interview on Arise TV, Obi stated that he was only stopped for a routine immigration check, and that his identity had been duplicated by someone.
The former Governor of Anambra state clarified that he was never arrested and was given VIP treatment.
The Labour Party had earlier released a statement stating that Obi was detained and questioned by UK immigration officials due to a duplication offense.
However, Obi maintains that he has never knowingly broken any laws and that the allegations against him are part of the journey to a new Nigeria.
