Labour Party’s Acting National Chairman, Ladi Illiya, has rejected the notion of a leadership crisis in the party.
Speaking to the media at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja on Wednesday, Illiya suggested that certain individuals who did not have the party’s best interests at heart were responsible for the unrest within its ranks.
She denounced the so-called National Executive Council meeting in Bauchi, stating that it was fake and unconstitutional.
Illiya emphasized that the genuine NEC meeting had taken place in Asaba two weeks prior, with attendance from all state chairmen and secretaries, raising the question of who the supposed members in Bauchi were.
