Barcelona has announced that Spotify will become the club’s main sponsor ahead of the 2022-23 campaign, which includes naming rights to the club’s iconic Camp Nou stadium.
For the very first time in the club’s history, their stadium will be rebranded as ‘Spotify Camp Nou’, while the logo of the music streaming service will feature on the men’s and women’s team shirts for the next four seasons, and on their training shirts for the next three campaigns.
The Catalan giants have described the deal as ‘a first-of-its-kind partnership’ and have revealed plans to use their new alliance with Spotify to collaborate and celebrate music artists from across the world.
A statement from Barcelona president Joan Laporta on the club’s official website read: “We are very proud to announce a pioneering alliance like this with a world-renowned organization like Spotify.
“This partnership will allow us to continue to bring the club closer to its fans and make them feel, even more, part of the Barca family through unique experiences, combining two activities such as entertainment and football, making it possible for us to connect with new audiences around the world.
“It is also a union with which we continue to take steps forward in this new era that we have started, and which demonstrates, once again, the innovative character and the constant search of excellence that distinguish Barca and have made it a unique club in the world.”
