Abuja, Nigeria – President-elect Asiwaju Bola Tinubu returned to Nigeria on May 20 after a 10-day trip to Europe.
Tinubu, who was accompanied by his wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, and a delegation of aides, arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja to a warm welcome from supporters and well-wishers.
During his trip, Tinubu met with key foreign leaders and officials to discuss a range of issues, including the economy, security, and regional cooperation.
He also met with business leaders and investors to discuss opportunities for investment in Nigeria.
Tinubu’s trip was aimed at refining his transition plans and programs ahead of his inauguration on May 29.
He is expected to announce his cabinet in the coming weeks.
In a statement, Tinubu said that he was grateful for the warm welcome he received from Nigerians during his trip.
He also said that he was confident that Nigeria would emerge stronger from the challenges it is facing.
“I am excited to be back in Nigeria and to be working with the people to build a better future for our country,” Tinubu said. “I am confident that we can overcome the challenges we face and emerge stronger than ever before.”
