Imansuangbon, a renowned educationist and former governorship candidate in Edo State, officially joined the Labour Party on June 9, 2023.

He made the announcement in Abuja, where he was presented with his membership card by the party’s National Chairman, Julius Abure.

In his statement, Imansuangbon declared that the PDP is no longer the dominant party in Edo State and that he is confident of winning the 2024 governorship election on the platform of the Labour Party.

He called on the party leadership to ensure a transparent and fair primary process, and he pledged to provide exemplary leadership if elected.
