Former Kaduna Senator, Shehu Sani, expressed his views on the initial ministerial list presented by President Bola Tinubu to the Senate on Thursday, branding some of the nominees as “vultures” and “serpents.”
The list, handed over by Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, was read aloud by Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio.
The list featured prominent figures such as Nyesom Wike, Nasir el-Rufai, Badaru Abubakar, and Dave Umahi, former governors of Rivers, Kaduna, Jigawa, and Ebonyi respectively.
In addition to these names, the list included Wale Edun, former Lagos Commissioner of Finance, and Dele Alake, Tinubu’s special adviser on Special Duties, Communications, and Strategy, among others.
Among the women nominees were Betta Edu, Hannatu Musawa, Doris Anichie Uzoka, Stella Okotete, Uju Kennedy Ohaneye, and Iman Suleiman Ibrahim.
Taking to his Twitter page, Sani responded to the list several hours later, criticizing the president for including individuals with questionable loyalty.
Though he did not name anyone directly, he accused Tinubu of rewarding betrayers and appeasing deceitful figures.
In his tweet, the former Senator drew a parallel to the biblical figure of Judas Iscariot, who betrayed Jesus Christ for thirty pieces of silver
