Nigerian Ambassador to Russia, Amb. Abdullahi Shehu, urged Russian investors to consider localizing their production in Nigeria during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Moscow.

He encouraged the exploration of Africa’s potential, especially in Nigeria, highlighting trade and investment as key areas of economic cooperation between Nigeria and Russia.

Shehu emphasized the need for Russian companies to invest in various sectors such as ICT, food production, energy, and mining in Nigeria, aiming to move beyond trade and foster strategic partnerships.

The 2nd Russia-Africa Economic and Humanitarian Summit held in St. Petersburg saw the participation of 17 Heads of State and over 15 African countries.
