Lawyer and Philanthropist, Lady Angela Johnson has joined the 2023 presidential race under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Lady Johnson, who aspires to become Nigeria’s first-ever female president made the declaration shortly after purchasing the nomination and expression of interest forms at the party’s headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday.

She said she decided to join the race because of the total leadership failure in Nigeria since the return to civil rule in 1999.  She says if elected, the country will experience real change in education, health, road sector, security, electricity supply, the fight against corruption and rapid industrialization.

She promised to overhaul and restore Nigeria on the path of progress and development.

Chief Ralph Oke Nwosu, National Chairman of the party,  in his remarks urged Nigerians to support ADC because the so-called big political parties have failed the nation.

Lady Johnson will slug it out with the likes of Kingsley Moghalu, Pat Utomi and Chukwuka Monye for the party’s sole ticket ahead of the polls.
