Professor Babagana Zulum, the governor of Borno State, has approved the dissolution of the State Executive Council.
On Thursday, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Usman Shuwa, ordered the immediate dissolution of the governor’s cabinet.
A statement signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Administration and General Services, Danjuma Ali, and made accessible to media in Maiduguri, the state capital, contained the announcement.
According to the statement, Governor Zulum has ordered all impacted appointees to take over leadership to permanent secretaries in their respective ministries.
He explained that the breakup was done to allow interested members of the council to lawfully participate in upcoming APC primaries and congresses (APC).
Zulum thanked the executive council members for their various contributions while in office and wished them luck in their future endeavors.
