The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Olakunle Oluomo, Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly.
Oluomo was arrested on suspicion of committing financial crimes.
The Speaker was apprehended by the EFCC on Thursday morning at the Murtala Muhammed Airport in Ikeja, Lagos State.
Following a tip, the Speaker was apprehended.
It was learned that the Speaker was being questioned in the agency’s custody.
However, DAILY POST’s attempts to confirm Oluomo’s arrest were futile because EFCC spokesman Wilson Uwajaren refused to pick up his calls and did not respond to a text message sent to him.
