Eid-ul-Adha Celebration: FG Declares June 17 and 18 Public Holidays
The Federal Government has declared Monday, June 17, and Tuesday, June 18, as public holidays to mark this year’s Eid-ul-Adha celebration!
Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the announcement on behalf of the federal government, congratulating all Muslim Ummah on this special occasion.
Tunji-Ojo urged Muslims to embrace the spirit of peace, kindness, and sacrifice, as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be upon Him), and to pray for unity, prosperity, and stability in the country.
The government assured citizens of its commitment to safeguarding lives and property, and encouraged all Nigerians to take responsibility for building a prosperous nation for future generations.
