Senator Rochas Okorocha’s alleged N2.9 billion fraud case has come to the attention of the Abuja federal high court. On May 31, Justice Inyang Ekwo granted bail to the embattled APC presidential aspirant in the sum of N500 million. Okorocha, on the other hand, is expected to remain in EFCC custody until he has fulfilled all of the court’s bail conditions.

The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to Rochas Okorocha, the former governor of Imo State. On Tuesday, May 30, Justice Inyang Ekwo granted bail of N500 million with the condition that a surety in the same amount be provided.

Senator Rochas Okorocha will remain in EFCC custody until the bail conditions are met, according to the court’s decision.
The court condition for Senator Okorocha’s bail stated that his surety must be a responsible Nigerian with landed property in the same amount as the bail granted to the presidential aspirant.
