Nigeria and Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote has seen his wealth increase from $11.5 billion in 2021 to $14 billion in 2022.
According to the latest Forbes Billionaires list, Mike Adenuga, Nigeria’s second richest man, grew his wealth from $6.1 billion to $7.3 billion.
Abdulsamad Rabiu, the third Nigerian on the list, also saw his fortunes improve from $4.9 billion to $6.9 billion.
According to Forbes, over 1,000 billionaires added to their fortunes in 2022 compared to 2021 while 236 first-time billionaires made it to the list.
The United States still has the distinction of having the most billionaires worldwide at 735 and a collective net worth of $4.7 trillion.
Tesla CEO, Elon Musk tops the World’s Billionaires list for the first time with a net worth of $219 billion.
