Nigeria’s Democracy Day Public Holiday in 2022 is June 12. In honor of Nigeria’s Democracy Day, which falls on June 12, the Federal Government has declared Monday, June 13 a public holiday. This was stated in a statement signed in Abuja by the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, and signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr Shuaib Belgore.
The Minister congratulated Nigerians and urged them to support the government’s efforts to make the country safer, more united, and prosperous.
“As we commemorate another DemocracyDay in our dear country’s history, let us remember our founding fathers’ efforts to ensure that Nigeria remains one united, secure, peaceful, and indivisible entity.” As stated by the Minister.
Nigerians should keep faith in democracy by promoting peace and unity, according to Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.
