
A minor fire broke out at the Dangote Refinery in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State, on Wednesday, but was quickly contained by the company’s response team. A video showing a cloud of smoke and a loud explosion sparked concerns, but fortunately, no injuries or damage were reported.
The Group Chief Branding & Communications Officer, Dangote Industries Limited, Anthony Chiejina, confirmed the incident, stating that the fire was limited to the effluent treatment plant and did not affect the refinery’s operations.
