Fox News cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski has been killed in war-torn Ukraine.

Zakrzewski who has been reporting from Ukraine since February was with correspondent Benjamin Hall when their vehicle was struck by incoming fire in Horenka, a North-West suburb of Kyiv.

While Zakrzewski died from his wounds, Hall survived and his currently hospitalized in Ukraine.

“It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we share the news this morning regarding our beloved cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski,” Fox News Executive Director Suzanne Scott wrote to staff Tuesday morning.

“Pierre was a war zone photographer who covered nearly every international story for FOX News from Iraq to Afghanistan to Syria during his long tenure with us.

“His passion and talent as a journalist were unmatched,” she added.

Mr Zakrzewski, who was based in London, was the second journalist to be killed in Ukraine in two days.

Brent Renaud, a documentary filmmaker and another veteran of covering war zones, died on Sunday after Russian forces opened fire on his vehicle.
