Onitsha’s Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention and Deliverance Ministry, led by Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere alias “Odumeje,” has clarified the situation regarding the property demolition that happened close to the church.

The church body has stated that the news is false and that only the security post and fence were impacted, in contrast to reports that the church building was destroyed by the Anambra State Task Force on Thursday.

The cleric’s assistant said in a video that was posted on his official Instagram page that the church building was unharmed and services would go on as usual.

The video’s voice-over stated, “There is a rumor going around that Odumeje’s church has been destroyed. Contrary to what actually occurred, this This is untrue.

“The security house in front of Odumeje’s church was destroyed, not the church itself.

“The security building, which was a little bit near the drainage, was destroyed. Odumeje’s church is still standing, as you can see.

The demolished portion of the security post was also visible on the video, as were the church’s interiors, which were in good condition.

The State Government has designated the church, also known as Land of Freedom, as a “illegal building” and had earlier ordered its demolition due to its encroachment on a sizable canal.

When the state task force stormed the site on Thursday to enforce the demolition, the pastor and some of the task force members got into a fight.

According to reports, security personnel attempted to remove the pastor after he resisted the demolition work.
