JUST IN: Troops Kill ISWAP, Boko Haram Terrorists In Adamawa State

Troops of the 144 Battalion in Madagali, Adamawa State have killed scores of Islamic States In West Africa Province (#ISWAP) and #BokoHaram terrorists at the Mandara Mountains.

The Nigerian army in a statement via its official Twitter handle on Monday said based on intelligence report, troops in conjunction with Civilian JTF laid an ambush on withdrawing ISWAP/BHT after a superiority clash between the terror groups. The ambush resulted in the killing of many terrorists and the recovery of arms and ammunition.

This is coming few days after the Nigerian military eliminated Amir Buba Danfulani, an(ISWAP) commander. Five other top members of the sect were killed in the airstrikes conducted over the Sambisa axis.

The deceased are Musa Amir Jaish, Mahd Maluma, Abu-Ubaida, Abu-Hamza and Abu-Nura Umarun Leni.

ISWAP and Boko Haram have been locked in a supremacy battle for years, leading to the death of Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau in 2021.
