Nigeria’s Chief Justice, Olukayode Ariwoola, will swear in twelve newly appointed judges for the Federal Capital Territory High Court this Wednesday, July 10. The ceremony is set for 10:00 AM at the Supreme Court’s Main Courtroom.
According to Dr. Festus Akande, Director of Press and Information at the Supreme Court, the judges hail from various states:
- Buetnaan Mandy Bassi (Plateau)
- Ademuyiwa Olakunle Oyeyipo (Kwara)
- Bamodu Odunayo Olutomi (Lagos)
- Iheabunike Anumaenwe Godwin (Imo)
- Odo Celestine Obinna (Enugu)
- Hauwa Lawal Gummi (Zamfara)
- Sarah Benjamin Inesu Avoh (Bayelsa)
- Maryam Iye Yusuf (Kogi)
- Ariwoola Oluwakemi Victoria (Oyo)
- Lesley Nkesi Belema Wike (Rivers)
- Ibrahim Tanko Munirat (Bauchi)
- Abdulrahman Usman (Taraba)
The new judges will bring a diverse range of expertise to the FCT High Court, enhancing the judiciary’s capability to deliver justice across Nigeria.
