Ogun State Commissioner for Environment, Ola Oresanya, says the state is working towards converting over 3,000 tons of waste products into fuel.

Oresanya disclosed this while speaking at the 2024 World Environment Day celebration, saying the state was on the verge of being the first in the country to convert waste into energy sources.

The commissioner said the state government is also determined to create a new line of economy that will take advantage of the possibility of a circular economy through green finance mechanisms for decarbonization.
