Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, is calling on Muslims to draw strength from the teachings of Prophet Muhammad.
The former Anambra State Governor, in a statement by his spokesperson, Yunusa Tanko, extended his warmest wishes to the Muslim Ummah, praying that the Sallah celebration will bring them closer to Allah, to one another, and as a nation.
He urged the Muslim faithful to imitate the prophet’s unwavering trust in Allah, his courage, and his willingness to sacrifice for the greater good, which he said are objects of inspiration to everyone.
Obi encouraged Nigerians to strive to be a source of hope, comfort, and support to those around them.
He also prayed to Allah to accept the prayers, fasting, and charity of the faithful and grant them the wisdom to walk in His path, the courage to stand for what is right, and the grace to be a blessing to their communities.
