The president disclosed this on Wednesday during his national broadcast in celebration of Democracy Day2024 and the 25 years of unbroken democracy in the country.
He stated that though recent reforms to reposition the economy in the right direction have caused hardship, they are necessary repairs to fix the country’s economy.
President Tinubu, while noting that his government chose to negotiate the new minimum wage with the organised labour considering the current economic reality, promised to send the bill for a new minimum wage to the National Assembly soon.
