The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, has called on organised labour to listen to the federal government because the ongoing strike will throw the country into hardship.

Abubakar, in a statement advised the Nigerian Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress, not to give up on negotiations with the government, urging them to call off the strike.

The Sultan appealed to both parties to arrive at a conclusion that will be beneficial to all Nigerians, with the working class inclusive.
