The suspended Senator representing Bauchi senatorial district, Abdul Ningi has returned to the upper chamber of the national assembly after three months over allegations of budget padding.

On arrival, the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, told Ningi to let by-gone be by-gone.

Senator Ningi’s suspension followed claims that the Federal Government was operating two versions of the 2024 budget, alleging that the 28.7trillion naira budget passed by the National Assembly and signed into law by President Bola Tinubu was skewed against the North.

Addressing the Senate, Abdul Ningi thanked the lawmakers for his recall after spending 75 out of the 90 days suspension period.
