The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused the opposition of orchestrating mass protests against President Bola Tinubu’s administration, alleging that they are using the guise of protesting the increasing cost of living to undermine the government. In a statement issued in Abuja, the APC claimed that opposition parties are instigating young people to protest in major cities to portray the APC-led administration as underperforming.

The party pointed to the simultaneous protests in Minna and Kano on Monday as evidence of an orchestrated and coordinated effort to instigate unrest and destabilize the government. The APC labeled this opposition tactic as a threat to public peace and national security.

While acknowledging the citizens’ right to peaceful protest, the APC urged people to be vigilant and not fall victim to the opposition’s attempt to promote social strife through incendiary rhetoric and manipulative plots. The statement emphasized the commitment of President Bola Tinubu’s administration to implementing important reforms for economic recovery and sustainable prosperity.

The APC called on Nigerians to support the government in its efforts, stating that the policy reforms will bring enduring beneficial transformation to the country’s material conditions of life. The party implored citizens to reject what it considers the opposition’s unpatriotic attempt to destabilize the country for political gains.
