The Department of State Services (DSS) has called on Christian and Muslim faithful observing Lent and Ramadan to use the period for promoting peace, unity, and harmony in the country. In a statement, the DSS emphasized the significance of these sacred rites and encouraged worshippers to foster understanding, compassion, and respect for one another. The security agency urged stakeholders to refrain from economic exploitation or unethical practices during these religious obligations and called on religious leaders, media, and residents to contribute to conflict prevention and national security objectives. The DSS also emphasized the importance of tolerance, dialogue, and peaceful coexistence.
