Former Real Madrid teammates Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema may have shared a prolific partnership on the pitch, but they don’t see eye to eye on football’s greatest-ever player.
Ronaldo, in a recent interview with El Chiringuito, declared himself the best footballer of all time, citing his versatility, strength, and impressive statistics. “I am the best player ever, I believe that,” he said.
But Benzema, now playing for Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia, offered a different take. When asked for his opinion, the French striker said, “If he thinks he is the best in history, then he is. It depends. For me, the best is Ronaldo from Brazil.”
The debate adds extra spice to their upcoming Saudi Pro League clash, as Al-Ittihad and Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr face off in May.
