The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially closed registration for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), with a total of 2,030,627 candidates completing the process. The examination is scheduled for April 25, 2025.

Registration, which began on February 3, 2025, ended on March 8, 2025—with no extension granted this year. The figure excludes candidates registering for examination at foreign centers.

In addition, 200,115 candidates expressed interest in taking the optional mock UTME, set for April 5, 2025. Of these, 630 candidates have already registered for the trial examination.

JAMB’s Monday weekly bulletin highlighted that innovative measures to deter cheating are in place. The board noted multiple arrests of candidates caught attempting to use forged A-level results, underscoring its commitment to maintaining the integrity of the examination process.

Candidates are strongly advised to adhere to the established rules and regulations to ensure a fair and honest examination experience.
