Mrs. MaryCynthia Ogechukwu Nnanuelugo has appealed for assistance in locating her husband, Hyginus Arinze Nnanuelugo, who was abducted by gunmen in Onitsha on July 11, 2024.

In an affidavit sworn at the Law Chambers of Sir Ben Chudi Izuegbu, Mrs. Nnanuelugo detailed how her husband was seized around 8:30 p.m. on Onoja Oboli Street, opposite Modebe Secondary School. The assailants, operating in a tricycle, blocked his gold-colored Lexus RX 300 (Registration No. FGG 693 HC) and took both him and the vehicle.

Since the abduction, neither her husband nor the vehicle has been seen. A police report from the Fegge Police Division, issued on July 12, confirmed the incident.

Mrs. Nnanuelugo said the disappearance has left her family in hardship. She has also paid ₦35,000 for radio announcements to help raise awareness.

“I am pleading with the government, security agencies, and human rights organizations to help me find my husband—dead or alive,” she said.
